Worldsensing is looking for talent

April 2016

As part of SCAVENCE project
Worldsensing is participating in SCAVENGE “Sustainable Cellular Networks Harvesting Ambient Energy” project, which is co-funded by the EC through the H2020 programme within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie framework.
The SCAVENGE project aims to design sustainable protocols, architectures and algorithms for next generation 5G cellular networks. The overall purpose of this initiative, is to allow mobile systems and especially their constituting base stations, femto cells, small-cells, mobile devices and sensors to take advantage of energy-harvesting from ambient sources and renewable sources. In addition, SCAVENGE will set up a training network for early-stage researchers (ESRs), who will contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable 5G mobile networks in Europe, and lead the related key scientific, technological, and industrial initiatives.
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme supports industrial doctorates. It combines academic research study with work in companies, and other innovative training that enhances employability and career development. In addition to research funding, scientists have the possibility to gain experience abroad and in the private sector, and to complete their training with competences or disciplines useful for their careers.
In this context, the task and responsibility of Worldsensing is to recruit and support a candidate to delivering everything needed to complete the project:  the company will provide facilities and tools, human resources, internal knowledge, proprietary technology, etc.
The search for a candidate has begun
Worldsensing is looking for a talented candidate who is able to work on the definition of implementable and self-organised scheduling algorithms, which satisfy throughput/latency requirements of IoT applications, while meeting the energy constraints of the small cell network. >Requirements of the candidate<
If you are interested in contributing to the design and implementation of eco-friendly and sustainable next-generation 5G networks and make your work a great impact on our future, you can register as a candidate with the following link:
